December 2025 Highlights

A Festive Season to Remember

The close of 2025 was marked by shared experiences, joyful gatherings, and moments that reminded us just how special life at St George’s Village truly is.

Festive Feasting in the Care Centre

Our Care Centre Christmas Lunch was a heart-warming celebration enjoyed by residents and staff alike. The room was filled with cheerful conversation, laughter, and the unmistakable magic of the festive season.

Shortly thereafter, our much-anticipated Christmas Dinner welcomed more than 100 residents for an evening of celebration. With beautifully styled décor, an exceptional meal, and a wonderfully warm atmosphere, it was truly a night to remember.

A Village That Sparkled

Throughout December, several residents added festive cheer by decorating their homes with Christmas lights. As evening fell, the village transformed into a softly glowing landscape, making every drive through the grounds a delight and spreading festive joy throughout the community.

Carols, Candlelight and Community

Our Carols by Candlelight service offered a meaningful moment of reflection and togetherness, bringing residents together through music, tradition, and shared celebration.

We were also privileged to host the Tapestry Choir, whose beautiful harmonies filled the village and lifted spirits. Their performance was deeply moving and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.

Never Too Old to Celebrate

Our Midcare residents welcomed the new year with a lively New Year’s Eve celebration. Music, laughter, and joy carried everyone into 2026 — a wonderful reminder that you are never too old to celebrate life.

Creativity, Learning and Shared Moments

Creativity took centre stage with a Christmas wreath-making workshop, where residents crafted beautiful floral pieces that added a personal festive touch to their homes.

A photographic workshop also gave residents the opportunity to learn how to take beautiful photos using their cell phones, helping them capture everyday moments and special memories with confidence.

Looking Ahead with Gratitude

As we move forward into the year ahead, we do so with gratitude for a village rich in kindness, friendship, and shared moments. It is often the small, quiet acts of care that best reflect the heart of our community — moments that may go unnoticed, yet mean everything to those who experience them.
