Assisted Living at St George’s Village

A caring, supportive environment for residents who need daily assistance.

The Care Centre at St George’s Village offers a compassionate and professional environment for residents who require additional support.

Whether it’s assistance with daily routines, ongoing monitoring, or 24-hour nursing, our Care Centre provides two levels of care — Mid Care and Frail Care — ensuring residents receive the right level of support within a familiar and reassuring community.

As an established retirement village in Bedfordview, we are committed to maintaining dignity, comfort and continuity for every resident. Our Care Centre offers a safe and structured environment, while the rest of the Village remains accessible for social connection, visits from neighbours, and participation in community life.

Mid Care

Support with daily living while maintaining independence

Mid Care at St George’s Village is ideal for residents who are largely independent but benefit from daily assistance or supervision. This level of care bridges the space between full independence and Frail Care, offering practical support while still encouraging a sense of autonomy and dignity.

Mid Care Accommodation

Mid Care rooms include:

  • A spacious room
  • Private en-suite bathroom
  • Kitchenette for small comforts or personal preference
  • Support for single residents (limited couple accommodation depending on room size and availability)

Residents furnish their Mid Care rooms to their own tastes, making the space feel familiar, personal and comfortable.

Mid Care services include:

  • Three meals daily, prepared by our on-site Restaurant
  • Medication monitoring and support
  • Laundry and domestic services
  • Assistance with daily routines as needed
  • Access to social activities where appropriate
  • A calm, structured environment with staff available day and night

Mid Care provides reassurance for residents and families alike, knowing help is close at hand while maintaining as much independence as possible.

Frail Care (24-Hour Professional Nursing)

Compassionate full-time support for residents who need continuous care.

Frail Care at St George’s Village is designed for residents who require continuous support or have significant daily care needs. Whether due to age-related decline, limited mobility, chronic illness or recovery from a medical event, Frail Care ensures around-the-clock supervision in a safe, nurturing environment.

Frail Care rooms

St George’s Village frail rooms include:

  • A private room
  • En-suite bathroom
  • Space primarily suitable for single residents
  • A comfortable, supportive environment tailored to high-care needs

Frail Care services

  • 24-hour nursing care
  • Medication administration
  • Assistance with all activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Personal hygiene and mobility support
  • Laundry and domestic services
  • Nutritious meals prepared by our Restaurant
  • Ongoing communication with families and medical professionals

Frail Care ensures that residents receive the appropriate level of medical and personal support, delivered with kindness, respect and attention to individual needs.

Continuity of Care in One Community

One of the greatest strengths of St George’s Village is the ability for residents to transition through different levels of care without leaving the community they know and trust.

Residents can move from:
➡ Independent Living to
➡ Mid Care to
➡ Frail Care
as their needs evolve — ensuring familiarity, security and emotional comfort throughout their retirement journey.

This continuity is especially valuable for couples whose care needs may differ. One partner can remain in a cottage while the other receives the appropriate care within the Care Centre, remaining close but safely supported.

When Is the Right Time to Consider Assisted Living or Frail Care?

Families often consider a transition when a resident:

Begins struggling with daily tasks

Needs help managing medication

Experiences frequent falls or mobility difficulties

Is becoming more isolated or anxious

Needs supervision or gentle oversight

Shows signs of declining health

Requires full-time nursing support

Our Care Centra Manager is available to guide you through the decision and provide professional insight into the most appropriate level of care.
