St George’s Village has 119 independent living cottages, each with its own unique charm and layout. While similar in architectural style, every cottage has its own character and is designed to offer comfortable, low-maintenance living with modern features such as fibre internet.

Grace Village Management (Pty) Ltd manages Life Rights sales, oversees cottage turnover, and ensures the village remains well maintained and aligned with high standards

What you need to know
What exactly is a Life Right?
A Life Right gives you the lifelong right to occupy a cottage at St George’s Village.
Ownership remains with the village operator, but all rights of occupation and enjoyment belong to the resident(s).
How much of my investment is refunded?
When the Life Right ends — due to relocation or the passing of the last surviving spouse — 75% of the original purchase price is refunded.
Who is eligible to apply?
Cottage applications are open to people aged55–75
Life Rights are granted fromage 60 (terms apply)
A non-refundable deposit ofR2,500 is required with the application
What is the payment structure for purchasing a Life Right?
- 15% deposit payable on signing the Life Right contract
- Balance due upon occupation, or90 days after signing, whichever occurs first
How often do cottages become available, and what do they cost?
Can I personalise my cottage?
Yes. Residents may furnish and decorate their cottages freely.
Structural changes may require approval from management.
Can I leave my Life Right to my children?
No. Life Rights are non-transferable.
Upon termination, 75% of the original purchase price is refunded to the estate or the resident.
Can one partner stay in the cottage if the other moves to Mid Care or Frail Care?
Do I have to move in immediately?
No, but monthly levies apply from the date of signing the agreement.
